与其它透明聚合物想比较,K-树脂共聚物的特点是密度低,从经济角度上看更有吸引力。K-树脂的得率比非苯乙烯类的透明树脂高20~30%,并且符合美国食品药品管理员FDA21CFR1771640条*和欧洲EEC指引90/128/EEC之所以修订条*的规定,用作食品的包装。K-树脂在医用市场中也占有很大的比例,适合当作USPV1-50材料使用,可以采用环氧乙烷气体或紫外射线消毒。
