Daikin PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) molding powders areexcellent, fine cut resins, well suited for a variety of demandingchemical, mechanical, electrical and non-stick surfaceapplications. These PTFE resins are fully fluorinated and have thebest thermal, electrical, and chemical properties of allfluoropolymers with a continuous service rating of 500°F (260°C).Daikin PTFE molding powders are available in homopolymer andmodified fine cut grades.
Daikin PTFE molding powders can be used continuously attemperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and for short periods of time athigher temperatures. They also possess excellent low temperaturestrength.
Daikin PTFE molding powders are completely inert to attack by allchemicals except hightemperature, high-pressure elemental fluorinegas, molten alkaline metals and chlorine trifluoride.
The non-polar molecular structure makes Daikin PTFE molding powdersideal for use as high-frequency insulating material. The dielectricconstant and dissipation factor are uniformly low over a widefrequency range.
Under ordinary conditions of use, Daikin PTFE molding powderspossess the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material.Also, the non-stick properties of these products prevent mostmaterials from adhering to them.
